Emma's Place Events

Trunk-or-Treat:

This is a stress-free alternative to traditional trick-or-treating in neighborhoods. Our staff selects specific locations, mainly near peaceful parks that provide a calming atmosphere. Participating sponsors can set up tables or decorate the trunks of their vehicles. Guests are welcome to bring their children and visit individual stations in a safe, community-oriented space.

Fall Festivals:

Our festivals are vibrant celebrations filled with interactive experiences for children. Family members can also engage in a variety of fun activities with their children, including pumpkin carving, enchanting light mazes that captivate, and allowing the children to explore and navigate a dazzling display of lights.

In addition to these activities, our seasonal food offerings bring delightful flavors and warm treats that reflect the essence of the season. There's something to please every palate, from delicious autumn-inspired dishes to sweet seasonal desserts.

Moreover, we host a range of arts and crafts stations specifically designed for children with special needs that encourage. Whether it's painting, making holiday decorations, or crafting keepsakes, these hands-on experiences foster creativity and bonding. Overall, our festivals are designed to create lasting memories and provide a fun-filled environment for our most precious little ones.

Santa Meet & Greets:

Our Santa Greet & Meet events are the most anticipated highlights of the year, creating magical moments for families caring for neurodivergent children. During these special occasions, Santa Claus carves out time from his bustling holiday preparations to warmly greet each child visitor.

As families enter the bright, festive venue, children are often greeted by the twinkle of lights and soft, joyful sounds, creating a cheerful atmosphere. Each child has the opportunity to spend several delightful minutes with Santa, sharing their holiday wishes and basking in the season's enchantment.

In some instances, Santa even brings along a few of his cheerful helpers, who engage children through fun activities, storytelling, and laughter, enhancing the overall experience. These events not only allow children to meet Santa but also create lasting memories for families as they celebrate the spirit of giving and joy together.

Participating sponsors typically assist our staff in preparing small gifts for the children. A local photographer captures family pictures that members can later obtain for safekeeping.

Sensory play days:

Our Sensory Play Days are thoughtfully crafted experiences that immerse children in a world of exploration through all five senses. Each session challenges participants by engaging them in a variety of creative activities that stimulate their sensory perception.

For instance, children can delve into the vibrant world of water coloring, where they not only express their artistic talents but also experiment with colors and textures. They will have opportunities to gather in circles to learn about various plants and flowers, discovering their unique characteristics through touch, sight, and even smell.

Additionally, we incorporate mindful listening activities that encourage children to tune in to the soothing sounds of nature. This tranquil environment fosters an appreciation for the outdoors while helping them develop observational skills and an understanding of their surroundings. Overall, our program is designed to inspire creativity and curiosity, promoting holistic development through engaging sensory experiences. Children with autism often exhibit tremendous curiosity, and these events can help them explore and learn in a safe environment designed just for them.
